I was there at 730 and made my way to the turning basin gettin some gills on the way. As I made it to the bridge I saw a guy on a bass boat net a keeper just ahead of me, so I rigged up a couple baits and started slowly drifting, still going towards the basin. I was marking all sizes of fish on the FF, some schooled and some not, but either way they weren't eating my bait. After a couple hours of drifting and seeing some shakers and a couple mor keepers caught by boats I remained fishless. It was also starting to get hot so I paddled toward the south bank of the basin dropped my lines to the bottom in 40 feet left my bails open and paddled to shore to strip some layers and have a snack. If I'm not catchin anything else the whiskers are a fallback since THEY are always hungry in the port... Will load pics when I
get home to a computer.

Good Stuff!  Don't forget that salmon are still on the run and as I remember seeing them late in December at the gates.  Was the guy on the boat trolling(drifting) spooning, or throwing swimbaits?  Either way keep trying different places and you'll find them.  It should get better as the temp drop.

They were using all methods but from what I could see the keepers were caught on rippin a rattle trap, trolling rapalas with white robo worm trailers and also one on bait, looked like frozen Shad from a Jon boat. It definately hasn't heated up yet.

Salmon still rolling in there?
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.
