VHS Radio

Allmost spelled Radoi; oh well, I just put down plastic money? for a Midland Nautico VHS radio and wondered if there were any reviews on this product from anyone.
Also since it might arrive before a Derby, what is the proper use during one of our fishing derbys.
Channel?
Chat content?
Do the sponsors of the Mendo tourny have a channel?

Our "official" channel is 69 for all NCKA derbys and most kayak outings. The Mendo Derby in May is being run by the SBA so they might have a different channel.
