Is rockfishing season still open? I thought it was closed

RGC and lingcod season is open until 12-31 on the SMC coast.

i've fished in the delta with my kayak... never been in the ocean before. i got a tarpon 100. is that good enough? what conditions should i be looking for. Krusty - i checked the swell charts and it does look much better for friday then next tueday but i gotta work so sorry i can make it. i was hoping i tag along. how far out do u guys normally go?

We don't go to far out I would think a tarpon100 would work might want to hit half moon bay before the other spots. Krusty let's hit pigeon point on friday.

Try and go out when the big groups go crabbing first weekend in Nov you can bring a crab ring or just a pole and play around in the ocean. the Launch at HMB is easy and if the WX is to bad out of the harbor you can stay in and fish the rock wall.
