Hey all!  Not a bad launch and landing at Spooner's Cove today.  I and another member from the CCKF forum launched around 0700 into the fog and light wind.  There was some bait in the cove that he was able to get into (I wasn't rigged), and those proved good to catch some lings with.  I, not having bait, was able to pick up a skinny ling and a small gopher.  We drifted south a ways, and then the wind picked up and the water got choppy.  We paddled back to the cove from there, and the wind had let up a bit so we fished the shallows again.  I picked up a couple of black and yellows, and then we headed to the beach.  All in all a fine day of fishing and paddling! - Will

Thanks for the report Will, glad to hear that you were able to go out with another buddy :) Hopefully, I'll be able to make my way down the Central Coast and hookup with some of y'all!

I wish I had some images to post, but I was the one taking pictures today (I don't want to post pictures of the other guy without his permission).  It was a good time, and much easier on the mind having someone else out there.  It'd be nice to put together something cooperative between NorCal and CenCal on the water (Monterey area?).  I've been spreading the word about this forum to everyone I meet on the water, as well as on CCKF, because I think we do share some common waters in Monterey County.  Just this past weekend there were some CCKF members fishing out of Big Sur and looking for some buddies.  That would've been a great opportunity to meet some more yak anglers.  Anyway, that's just my two cents on that subject.  Thanks for your interest, and I'll be seeing y'all OTW! - Will
