Will that be enough you think Joel?
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

or even empty dry bags, filled with air.......if something sharp, hard and pointed goes through the yak, it will surely pop, punture & deflate whatever is inside there,,,,so poll noodles are still the best choice(IMO) which i dont even have in mine(yet) :smt009

Because if you put your wheeleze in the front hatch of a P15 you can't store your rods in there.

...pretty sure it will. Will test at Tiki.

It can happen but with two in there, I believe the chances are still better than not having them at all.

Why would I want to store my rods at Tiki? Show me sometime on the ocean in a 7'NW swell, and a 4'S swell with a 10MPH W wind.

Big shark bites yak.
Yak now has holes.
Inflatable items in the hull are vulnerable.
Adam knows first hand.
DanS knows first hand.
Non-inflatable items aren't as vulnerable to damage.

I haven't taken the noodles out of my hull for years, literally.  It's a no-brainer as far as ease of application and longevity of efficacy.

I've got 18 noodles in my hull, they are all tucked in and out of the way and arranged side to side and end to end so that I think if full my yak would probably still float horizontal and without any listing.

I'm not convinced.  I had my yak stuffed with noodles but pulled them all out because it's so much harder to dry out the hull completely with them in there...  near impossible.

Thing is I don't believe a kayak, even fully swamped and chomped, will sink...  as in to the bottom.

One thing for certain, you are never gonna get enough noodles in a yak to be able to paddle it, if it's otherwise full of water.

yeah prob not. But I like to be holding on to a just at the surface 16 foot piece of yellow plastic vs. my head and shoulders. I think it may be more about being seen vs able to paddle at some point. Didn't Joe and Rhyak's boats sink?

1. I would never open my front hatch - just to store rods - in such conditions
2. If need to store my rods in unfavorable conditions, I'd call in my fishing partner for assistance - it can be done safer with the help of a comrad - I know this cause I've done it many times. (or if my partner paddles a Trident, then I'll have him or her store my stuff)

That's exactly my point with the wheeleez floatation = If my kayak takes on water, I have something to hang on while I await rescue. A kayak full of water even with pool noodles stuffed to the rim would be very tough to stay upright with and even to paddle. I'd really like to see someone prove me wrong on this.

I'm saying it's impossible.  We keep talking about it... we need to try it once and for all.  We should do it at Tiki,

I got 12 pool noodles tucked inside my prowler 13, between the scuppers and the hull. Every pool noodle in the kayak will displace the water that would otherwise be there if the hull has been breached. So more pool noodles means less water in hull and a more buoyant flooded kayak.
