Arcteryx. Pricey but totally solid. Mine has been thru several downpours & several weeks in AK & has been worth every penny.

I wear my normal kayaking gear, including PFD, then throw Viking Rain Gear over it.
Keeps out the wind, rain and snow (believe me I know) and if it stops raining (or snowing) I can easily peel it right off.
I love the fact it has pockets so I can keep a few items at my fingertips (gloves, dry hanky, camera, energy bars).
It's super easy to store too.
I also have the pants.
It's a nice combo that can be used for other things as well. Like when you have to break out a chain saw at 3AM in a windy downpour to clear the giant limb that fell in your driveway blocking your vehicle.
I've had the the 3300J and the 3300p for a few years now and have no regrets whatsoever.
The jacket has a hood that's not shown in the pic.

Anything that doesn't have wrist gaskets will dribble water up your arms as you paddle, or cast, or land a fish or whatever.

3rd one I've owned and my favorite: Stohlquist Splashdown ST Spray Top
I love the hood that I can pull up if it gets cold or rains.  I love the pockets for storing my keys and wallet.  I first put both in water proof cases.

Doesn't matter much to me since I have my paddle jacket underneath.
