Went to La Jolla on Sat.  pick up the New Yak at 10 am.  Wind was blowing at 8-8:30am.  Looked around La Jolla and found very few places to get a Yak in the water.

Decide to go to Visalia to meet my buddy.  Got a room in San Deigo and went to the girlie bars.

Got to Visalia on Sun. and on Monday went to Millerton to fish for stripers.  Zero fish.

Went to San Luis Foreday today and from 7 to 9 am. got two stripers 20 & 24" and my first Large Mouth Bass from there 13"".  I think I will be there tomorrow.

If you want to go to the La Jolla, you will need so insider info.  Hard to find parking and a place to launch.  The surfers rule down there.

The Wilderness Sys. Tarpon 160 is a great Yak.  I think it is faster and drier that the Prowler.  Only thing is that there is No Deck space.  This year model comes with a Tank well..

The trick is to get there before dawn.  Yes, it should be pitch black out.  That way parking will be available, and you'll be out on the kelp during peak WSB time - twilight.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

I think you need insider help and a lot of luck.  The wind was up at 8 to 8:30 am.  Gives you only a few hours to fish.  Not too many places to Yak and park.  San Diego Harbor is a different ball game.
