sturgeon n big stripers 10/7

Low tide about 6am so a 6am launch should put us out there when it swings(tide charts are always an hour off), a little bit of wind will be fine because it will be to our backs but if its calling for big gusts ill call it off , gonna cross the channel around mcavoys into honker bay and fish shallows. Company welcome.

  Wish Kat and I could make it. Red Barn and Tiki is maxing out my fishing trip money.

What setup for stripers? Lures? Cut bait? Tackle setup?

I'm gonna be using lamprey eel/grass shrimp combos on an 80# double hooked mono leader cut at about 20"....for stripers I'm gonna do a sliding eg egg sincker setup with a bullhead.

Damn I want to hit this with you guys but will probably head out on Saturday instead. I will be looking to see how you did and if I need to change my plans and go here. Good luck and let me know if anyone is interested in Sat or Sunday.
