Newbie aka Fish Sticks

Hi all,

I am new to kayak fishing. Going to spend a couple months practicing with my new trident ultra 4.7 at the resevoirs, take a couple saftey classes and get the recommended gear that I have seen on the forum before I attempts to go out.

Only met one of you guys so far (bloodbath at Mel Cottons last week), but look forward to meeting the rest of you!

Hopefully my buddy Chen will join too. He is the one that got me into salt water fishing a few years ago. After I ordered the yak, I sent him an email asking if he had considered trying kayak fishing. He responded "yes, and it just came in today!"

I'm late on this one.. but yesssssir, welcome to the craziness!!! pfd and radio never leave home without it.  Safety first, have fun killin' fish, and remember the best part comes after the fishing, the cleaning and stowing of gear  seriously though, at least get to that last part everytime you go out.  See you OTW.

Picked up the trident ultra yesterday. It was not easy to get this on my roof-rack with all the plastic it was wrapped up in. Somehow kept it from falling off on the expressway
