I had some work to do in Reno yesterday and since it was so close on the way back home we decided to take the car and kayaks along for the ride.

Loaded up tuesday night for the early start.  Made it to Reno walked my buildings and was done 11:30.  I didnt check the clock but I think we got to Boca about  noon thirty.
I'd never been here and didnt know what to expect, I was alittle disapointed that the water was so low.  But since you could park right at waters edge I didnt mind too bad.  :smt003

There were a few jetskis out doing laps and another 2 boats out on the water.   and it was glass smooth.  I knew the fishing would be tough and didnt really get to read to much about tactics, and since I didnt have a downrigger I figured I just troll some hardware and see what happend.

the water had clarity to about 7-8 ft. because of algae bloom across the whole lake , and a good mud line from the lice and boats.

Ended up peddling around the whole lake in about 4 hours.  There were lots of little fish jumping everywhere... some coming out as high as 3-4 ft. <-- thats a pretty funny sight.
The wind picked up around 4 so we packed it in and headed back to the car... Sails will be coming soon. It would have been a blast to make a couple runs at the end of the day.

Scotty didnt have a care in the world...

great lake, few weeks back the water was at the max. Guess they are releasing water to make room for more this season. I prefer it like you saw it for great shaore access. The inlet usualy fishes well or anywhere back on that side. Ive had much better luck from shore too, but thats not as fun  is it :) Try prosser next time your there, no speed boats or jet skis there! Guaranteed fish :)

Thanks for the Boca update and pics.

Great pics and report. I have never fished there, but driven past tons of times; headed to Stampede. Sounds like I need to try Prosser as well.
