How is the Goat Rock launch?  I was hoping to fish straight out from the RB but have never launched from anywhere south of Albion.  Any recommendations on the closest launch to the Red Barn itself?  If Goat Rock and the launches in the immediate vicinity are harsh, where is the nearest mellow launch?  I am just looking to locker up some rock fish for grilling over the winter so I promise I won't be trying to steal your secret spot  :smt003  Just trying to avoid driving too far from RB, but am willing to go somewhere to ensure a decent catch!  Any help appreciated  :smt006

Goat Rock usually has wicked shore break and is 25 or so minutes South of RB. There is no launch at RB....but Fort Ross is just 3 or 4 minutes up the road.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Going north from RB you have Ft Ross, Timber Cove, Stillwater Cove (N), Ocean Cove, and Salt Pt Gerstle Cove, all within minutes, all very doable launches.

Goat Rock is now within an MLPA closure and would be a really bad place to launch anyway.

The sweetist put in is TC, it will be a cluster F I'm sure,  park up top and roll down the hill with wheeleze if parking is full

But all in all it's the simplest place to roll...6 bucks a head...if you get there way early you just go down...the lady collects the money later on in the day or stop in and pay her on the way out!!! That's what I do anyways...Get Some bro...
It's all about Today!!! Because who knows what tomorrow will bring... so Better get OTW n GetSome
