I went to Pardee last monday with my girl. Saw a whole alotta fish from shore which got me salivating for a chance to get out there on my yak. I think ill be getting that chance this weekend :smt003

Any tips for Fishing the lake? it seems huge so i dont think ill be covering it all.  :smt001

Im going for smallies but will C&R anything :smt005

Any tips would help.

the smallies are really difficult to fish for in the lake...you need long casts. the water is gin clear 90% of the time and the fish are pretty smart.  you can use any of the normal smallmouth stuff, but don't be afraid to try tiny lures of 3" or less.

easy fishing for trout and kokanee upriver, but its a heck of a paddle.  if you're going on a weekend they will try to inspect your kayak so make sure its clean and dry inside.

Right now through October would be a good time to fish a Norman's crankbait 16 in a crawdad pattern.  Also if you have access to a hand poured worm or crawdad green and red.  I like to roll down the bank about thirty feet out and throw my crankbait or jig right on the shore and bring it back to the boat bouncing it off the bottom.  Good luck.
