While visiting the in-laws in the EB this wknd. I got a chance to go out to ARW to target Perch.
Took 1 spinning rod, no electronics, small amount of tackle, scupper pro TW.
Launched at 8am, hit the 2nd wall at 8:20 and started drifting Grass shrimp and Pile worms.
Picked up a Rock crab right away, followed by a couple of Gopher looking rockfish.
Missed a couple more bites, then headed inside the wall still in search of a Perch (those things are gold in the AOTY thing :smt003).
Finally got a Perch on a sliding rig w/grass shrimp on. Stoked, and looking for a bigger fish I paddled and drifted for another few hours enjoying
one of the nicest days I've ever seen on the bay. Picked up 5 or so Smelt - those little guys are very aggressive and fun on light tackle.
Got some nice hits that didn't stick on a fast trolled Smelt fillet/Pile worm combo on the way back to the launch.
Gonna go back!

I love that kind of fishing. All around bait and the unknown target species.  I wouldn't mind doing some of that after a few more Salmon and before Striper season starts.

Lots of shiners around those tires , we use to load up on them and go drift the wall for stripers , always did real well ! Never did catch any halibut ?

Nice variety.  I have yet to fish ARW, and this report just put it on the schedule after RBC2.  Thanks for the report and pics.
