I might be in depending on WX, it looks like the winds and swell might be building a bit.

I'm still looking @ WX too, will make final decision by this afternoon before 5:30pm as I have to pick up my yak from Fremont: http://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Bean-Hollow-State-Beach/forecasts/latest/six_day

Which link do you look into?

North of pigeon point show small craft advisory, south predicts calmer seas so it could go either way.

You will see a lot of cars around 7 usually, though Bean Hollow is not a recommended place for newbies....

Aqua,

I think what Darius means is BH is not recommended for those people who are not well prepared for open beach launch withoiut much of protection. I have personally launched there 3 times this year and 2 had one kayak angler flipped either during launch or de-launch.  But if u r willing, u r welcome to come along man :-)

Darius,

I saw your pict with a nice halibut.

May I aske where and when did you get that good one?

I tried Berkerly a few times couple years back and gave up. I got no fishes but with plenty of vomitting even it was inside the Golden Gate Bridge. :-)

No Problem bro, its just we emphasized on safety when someone mentioned newbie word, better than sorry, the weather was great even the wind and swell, just the fish wont bite, I caught a big Cabie, I had a Big Fish lost it somehow before I could see it, the only mishap was going I hit something my had got cut big, bloods all over, I ended up not taking any fish since no one can clean them..

@ Horsenecklover,
Thats a pacific Halibut caught up north Shelter Cove,  I never fished berkeley but I heard it pretty slow on HALI this goodluck!
