Directions to Howe Launch...
Take 50 towards Tahoe, when you get to the Howe Avenue Power Inn exit take it and go north.
Take the first right on LaRiviera, follow signs to the launch....

If anyone Needs better directions pm me.....
And bring Mepps 5 spinners! Seem to be working well. And also the Flying Cs......

Was debating b/t WSB and salmon, both of which I've skunked this year... and Salmon won!  See you guys there!

I've only fished ocean salmon, so I better figure out the regs for rivers... anybody got a cheatsheet summary?

With respect to the part of the AR you guys will be fishing, what are the regs re: hooks?
Barbless only? If not, treble hook allowed?
By my reading of the regs, treble looks OK, but want to make sure.

Is there a report card required for the AR salmon? These Fresh water regs are confusing me.

TBONE is correct. Trebles are OK on the lower section of the American river.
I fished Howe this morning. No salmon love for me.
7 or 8 other kayakers were on the water also. Hope they have better luck.

I will be out on the AR tomorrow Sunday morning. Will post what I find..

Today, well it was the American River clean up so that was first priority.went great! SteveIsLost is a maniac when it comes to cleaning the river! Pulled up a huge pot and lid! Along with a lot of trash.
The bite was slow, as of 230 pm when I left. AuburnTroutDude was putting in then so he might have turned it around.
It seems to me the fish have moved up, meaning that school I was having such luck with last week. Plenty caught at Ghoette and Sunrise, so maybe this hookup should be moved upstream.

Will post my results from tomorrow.
Feel free to call with any questions.
