There's been allot talk on this site about Big Hammer Halloween, 6in, I match it up with a 4oz brown head, maybe other stuff will work just as well, but I caught allot fish with that combo this year.

I think my all time favorite color is some shade of brown,

Go for the 5in and 6.5 in Big Hammers. What has been working well is the Halloween color as well as Hot Karl, Senorita,Bleeding Herring, Red Rum, and Toast. Go to  www.swimbait.com

I use a 4 or 3 oz leadhead for the 5's and 6.5's There are also some larger ones called the Sledge Hammer at 9 inches. I forgot to say that the white pearl color will land halibut as well as rocks and lings. Oh hell wait theres a color called strawberry too that comes in 3 inch . Use a 2oz leadhead for that in shallow water or light tackle. Dan , if you have any questions PM me. Anytime, Craig

Ditto on the 6 inch halloween.. best color for me by far.   Ive had success tho with senorita (did well on verms with that.. ) , bleeding mackerel and the pearl white as well.   Lot of other fun colors!   I wish they had the big jig heads on their site..   I was going to order a couple big hammer decals and they were going to charge 10 BUCKS for the shipping.  ouch..

Weird.  The strawberry color is not listed on the BH site.  They do have a 3" strawberry flash.  But, I have been using the real "strawberry" this year with good success.  In 5" or 6"

Thanks you all for the info , one more question ; is there any real difference between Big Hammers and Fish Traps ? Heads and bodies look like clones to me at least in pictures , nobody in my area carries BHs but found Fish Traps at Sports Chalet . Bought a few sardines and Halloween bodies and plain heads , will look for BHs online . Paid $3.99 for 3 bodies , is that a decent price ?

Dan, try   www.charkbait.com  then go to Big Hammer on that site to order. Where do you buy your tackle? Ask for Big Hammer there  . If they dont have them , tell them to get them. Big Hammer supports a lot of our events.

Allen the strawberry is in special colors

I have some decals also and will ask marketing for more
