SMC 9/5?

Just throwing it out there. I'm thinking the north side of the PP lighthouse will offer some protection from the S swell if it's still going. If swell is not an issue we can launch wherever.

hmmm...maybe...I'll keep my eye on the Wx and swell. It's getting a little late in the season for me to fish up there but I'd like one more try.

Hopefully the big swells are down by then.  I spoke to Paddlefish this AM, he was at Cowell Beach yesterday for surf smelt.  He couldn't throw his net because the waves were too enormous.

Yeah, I ran out there afterwork around 3:30 on Tuesday, only got ~30 and had to work hard, lots of blind throwing. Waves were pretty big and lots of crap in the water. The fog and low light made it hard to see with the polarized on but without them couldn't see much at all. Next year!!!

Some guy got his limit but he was out there for a while. No stripers caught between about 5 surf fisherman.
