Hey guys, I was checking the report for the weekend. It looks like there are some big swells coming through the area from Weds- Sunday. It maybe the perfect time for me to take a La Jolla trip or learn to surf! Be safe. - L.A.

There's always crappie Keith!   :smt004

Thanks for the heads-up on the coming weekend.  Good warning to folks to be careful.

What is your favorite place to find ocean conditions? What is considered "no go"? :smt001

Locally generated northwest windswell 6.0 ft @ 9-10 secs
Southern hemi Swell #7S 3.6 ft @ 19-20 secs  = 7feet

20 SECOND POWER!    :smt001 Usually significant if they actually give it a number just like they give hurricanes names. But.....
You never know with these south swells though.....usually smaller than the forecast.
Probably gonna be a washing machine for the kayak though.
You know it's gonna be big HUGE in the winter when they're calling for 20 feet @ 25 seconds.

Yeah, I hear ya. But the last time I fished with a south swell...Let's say, I was fishing, but I wasn't catching. I'm gonna take the weekend off. No need to sit around in a washing machine to get nothing. Anyways stay safe to those that go out this weekend.

FYI, I get my info from at least three sites: NOAA; Swellinfo, and surfline.
