Vacaville - 5pm til dark - 8/23 - going Port

I'm in training in cowtown and want to fish this evening!  Have yak and wheels and a basic assortment of lures.  Help me out with some nearby suggestions please, and be specific as I'll only have limited time to jam to the water at rush hour!  Thx

Your pretty close to Berryesa...

 steal park is a expensive launch, but puts you right into the narrows,  another option is the road to berryeas, the dam side..  putah creek runs along side the road and there are plenty of places to access, I've heard there is good bass fishing...

I personally like drop shotting of the narrows and even spooning  ( Duh spoon, black/white )the 35' water could bring up a few, steal park usually has minnows and so does "Guns fishing and other stuff" in Vacaville...

 wish I could break, but booked with domestic duties...

Thx, guys!  I'm in class til 430 today, tmw and Wed., then drive home Wed. night.  Stripers sounds fun - never caught one.  Berryessa and Putah are somewhat familiar from my Davis days - would rather hookup with someone than solo run.  I've got my steelhead rod plus an ultralight with 12 pound...  Forgot my firetiger rapala. 

Gotta realese anchor? Montezuma sturgeon is a real possibuility

I've just got a little yak w/o rod holders...etc - I'd best stick to something simple

There has been word of Salmon being caught in Suisun marina also. Tues after work should be fine if you'd like to hit the Montezuma. Won't need a  release anchor if hanging by the edge just tie on to something. Give me a PM  if interested

I went to Berryessa.  $20 @ Markley seemed ludicrous, so I carried my stuff down from a turnout near there...  Anyway, love to explore Berry further, but some port sounds cool.  Thx for the info and responses.

$20 at Markly wo that sucks,,,  glad ya got out there, if ya go a bit further down the road to Caples, about 15min..

The guy at the big fishin hunting store in Vacaville told me Markley...  Oh well...  Got a couple dinker bass on P. Martin and firetiger srap.  Fantastic to be OTW in 90 degrees.  Covered 2-3 miles of shoreline and chased one nice surface fish in a cove.  Back to the truck at dark.
