Gabe and I are going to launch from Ft. Baker about 7am on Sunday morning.  Tide is favorable, and the salmon have been streaming into the bay right here.  Can also fish for rockies along the coast, Halibut in the coves (Bonita and Kirby).  Lots of possibilities, and the views can't be beat.  Looks like there's currently construction at the launch (see below), but we should be able to launch just to the left of that area, and park on the right.  I'm going to try and scout it out tomorrow and will advise if there will be any issues with the launch.  Alexander Ave. Exit from 101 just on the Marin side of GG Bridge, first left on east side of 101, then first right onto Bunker road (at the stop sign before the tunnel leading to Cronkite) to the end.  Google "Bunker Road Sausalito" if you need a detailed map.

Hi Andy:

I'll be launching from Fort Baker tomorrow, SAT.am.  You're right, the tides are favorable, swells are down, and winds manageable.

I give you report tomorrow on how I did.

I have been wanting to fish for some rockies in that area. Are there any kelp beds. I have crabbed of the pier before but never fished. Another day I will have to fish with you out there. I will be at yakhoppers on Sunday.

I'll be there with my dad in my double, and my friend Paul will join us as well.  My pops just turned 76 yesterday. I hope I'm still catching fish in my yak when I'm his age.  However, trying to get him out of the house for meeting at 7 a.m. might be a bit difficult, but I'll do my best.

Looking forward to your report raydon!  Checked out the launch this morning and it is open.  They did not block off the entire ranmp as was indicated in the link I posted.  Looked beautiful out there this morning.  Last time I did this launch guys were catching rockies right outside the cove in open water (on the bottom presumably).  Also caught them along the rocks on the way out the gate.  High tide is just before 7am, so might be worth a couple of drifts for salmon right off the point (to the left) to start.  Or head out to Bonita cove then drift the late morning incoming on the way back.  Hmmm.  Gabe, I'll bring my extra radio for you.

Won't be able to join but I'll keep an eye out for you - escorting a big Triathlon swim from the Rock to St Francis.
Looking forward to your report.
