OK I am freaking out, got court summon today in the mail about downloading movies, never had criminal record but too nervous to deal with it, I need some serious advise, I am willing to compensate for your time..Thanks!!

Set your router to unsecured. Then claim complete ignorance. Plant a computer at your neighbors place and make it download. You can't help it if you were hacked.

Get all downloaded movies/discs out of your house and replace the hard drive on the computer... No evidence, no crime... Don't wait till they seize or demand your computer. Get it gone now!!!! today!!! right now!!! you can't completely erase evidence on hard drive. can be easily retrieved.... Move it! and don't be a victim of the system.  Hard drive will be on the witness stand... Not a matter to be joked about. Good luck...

This is prolly a civil action brought by the RIAA.  Usually these settle fairly quickly, but some joker in a flyover state thought he'd try his luck, ended up getting wacked for 7 figure damages on copyright infringement. 

There may be some interplay with criminal law, so you should talk to someone with crimlaw experience.  I'll PM you a guy's contact.
