hMB report

My Son and I did a little scouting out of the mouth of the harbor. We were using tray bait and jigs.  Total for the day was 3 undersize lungs and 4 blues.  It was fun but no dinner on the table tonight.
Weather was foggy and cold, but o swell at all. Maybe next time..

4 blues sounds like dinner to me. They are my wife's favorite fish. BTW, don't waste tray bait on rockfish. Save it for salmon.

Head a little north to the point, I picked up plenty of nice rockies on Friday there with 6-8 keeper lings that I reLeased in search or wsb and halis. Also picked up a 30 pound and 26" Hali outside the can in 70' of water. Used whole frozen squid.

Á little North to the Point can cost you some money as that is a border line to an MPA.  Know your coordinates or give it a wide berth.  The line goes from the point to the red & white can.  http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/images/nccmpas/montpil.jpg
