Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Hope his wounds are not serious.  Injured wild boars are extremely dangerous!

one of the hunters shot the pig with a rifle, and the hunters then tracked the wounded animal into a canyon.

"It got backed into a corner, charged the hunters and bit the man in his hand and upper leg," Avansino said.

I'm no hunter but I thought that the golden rule was to never corner a wild animal (wounded or not). I tried doing that to a rat (with an attitude) one time and guess who won  :smt011 :smt013

Then would go away and hide till I started down the tree and try to get me again. SMART and tasty :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Nope, the golden rule is to do whatever you possibly can to follow and dispatch a wounded animal. And yes, sometimes that means it may be wounded animal 1, hunter 0. Plenty of folks done in by the big 5...

I saw a nice boar at Sonoma this weekend at 35 yards. All I had for protection was my walking staff and WristRocket. I sorely wanted my bow.
Very cool though! I saw a dozen others, sows and younger boars.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

The toothy beast in my avatar is from Lake Sonoma... I won that war... I definately would NOT want to tangle with a wounded boar (or even a sow).
