MBK derby auction/sale of Aaron Hull's goodies

I have a number of great items from the collection of Aaron Hull. All procedes to go to his widow and/or younger brother's college fund. Items include: Ocean Prowler-trident 13' yak with seat and rod holders, several seeker rods, patagonia waders, several shimano reels, vintage rods with penn reels, tackle boxes, tackle bags, body glove wetsuit, dry bags, anchor, misc fresh and salt water fishing goodies, ice chests. I will have a table set up at the MBK derby. Please bring cash or personal checks. Hope to see you there even if you are not entered in the derby.

I will be bringing some items from Aaron also including very small sized snorkel gear, and wet suit.  The fins are size zero, 2 pairs, a couple of small masks, also some sz 12 booties and foot liners, battery case, dry bag and misc items. 

Possible to post pictures for those that can't make it there? Would love to Bid/Buy something to help out but can't attend event... I can arrange pick up of items bought

How does a silent suction work?

Re silent auction.  You make a bid and at the end of the time the highest bid wins.  Usually there is a list next to each item so that you can write in your bid at any time and will know what the prior bids are.

Progressively higher bids are written on a sheet below a picture of the auctioned item (or the item itself). 

The auction is open for a limited time and closes at X hr.  At X hr, auctioneer calls time and the highest/ last bidder wins.  As you would guess that leads to marginally higher bidding just before X hr.  People tend to hawk over the most competitive items.  As for example this @ockblocking sniper in a gold lamé blouse who jacked Kristal's $300 bid on a 30 person winery tour/tasting at Byington Vineyards during the Rivers of Chocolate festival and fundraiser in May.  To make up for it, we ended up scoring a movie night for 150 (!!!) at century theatres.   

It also leads to dumbasses like myself buying stupid $hit simply because I don't like to lose or pass off on apparent bargains.  Like c'mon, was i REALLY that interested in eating lunch at PF Chang with Scott Mcgrew and the morning news crew??? 

Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to making it down for this silent auction, all you @ockblocking snipers be warned.

I'll bring those lobster traps to MBK too. Unlesss somebody claims them before Sat...they're posted in the Classifieds w/pics. Bug season opens Oct 1.
