well lack of interest in salmon, and the fact ablone season is closed this weekend, I decided to go some where closer to home.   

So I am goign to hit Spicers off highway 4, its going to be an Epic trip I plan on paddling the length of the lake, about 13 or 15 miles round trip, and hitting all the streams that flow in, I should be launching 800 am ish.

Right-on Garet !! Spicer is one of my all-time favorite places to paddle,camp,hike and explore! It is an absolutely wonderful place to be. I wish i could join you. Have fun !!


       p.s. why the lack of interest in salmon?

Well I posted a hook up earlier in the week to see if any one wanted to chase salmon between bodega and fort ross and got no interest.

I had heard they've been catchign some.  As it is some where I have not trolled before i figured I would rather go with some one who is familiar with the area. How ever only peeps I saw were goign rock fish fishing, which i love, but i dont want to drive that far just for rock fish,

rock fish + ablone i may do next weekend.

Just got off work, and am off to hit south fork of the stanislaus in melones this afternoon.

Well you can't go wrong with Spicer. And yes the salmon are in on the sonoma coast. I highly reccomend a trip to timber cove or pt.reyes to "get some". Where were you gonna launch at on your hook-up?


 

anything
