Recently tried a ready-to-cook tilapia dish from Costco that used a lime-cilantro marinade.  Usually I won't go near cilantro unless its on my carne asada tacos.  however, the costco dish was actually pretty delicious.  Motivated me to try something similar with this weekend's fresh rockcod.

Pretty simple, just food processed the following (minus cumin b/c I didn't have any)

    2 limes, juice of
1/3 cup olive oil or 1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1 clove garlic
    1 tablespoon fresh cilantro
    1/2 teaspoon cumin
    1/2 teaspoon chili powder
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    salt and pepper

Watch the pepper flakes, the heat really sneaks up on you.  For a scalable recipe, go to http://www.food.com/recipe/cilantro-lime-marinade-71234

I think it might be good for almost anything, totally hooked now.

Mmmmm that looks awesome! My wife would kill me if I made it because she is seriously allergic to cilantro. She gets the gag reflex if she even smells it.

Did you cook it in broiler or on the grill or?

Looks amazing...thanks for sharing this.
In the next experiment, try any of these added to what you already have listed:
dash of white wine, splash of white wine vinegar, tarragon, dill weed, lemon juice,
spinach, Trader Joes Himalanian Pink Salt Crystals, green curry powder, salsa verde, chilpottles.
