Tides are looking good.  High 3.5 at 8:28am, low 2.8 12:29pm.  EASY launch at Ft. Baker with tons of parking steps from the water.  Last time I did this guys were hooking up with rockies right out in front of the Ft. Baker pier. Paddle under the bridge and go for Rockies along the coast, maybe Stripers along the beach at Kirby and Bonita coves, halibut also, and troll back for an early arriving Salmon perhaps. My avatar is from the last time I did this a couple of years ago and it seems like everyone caught a few fish.   I'm about 50/50 right now, will decide by later today.  Consider this a suggestion if I don't show.

Sounds like fun but not gonna make it tomorrow. Should be some halibut starting to show along the beaches.

My wing-man bailed, and since there's not takers so far I may bail.  I'll check back one more time.  This is a fun paddle (with a chance for at least 3 different species) if you are on the fence...

I think the launch is closed for major construction.  There is a small beach just
adjacent to the boat ramp that you can get a yak in the water however.

That's the spot I was referring to, but I haven't been down there this year.  Will have to scout it out before the next good tide.

The spot is good to launch from. A bit of a pain to get a loaded kayak down the steps but still doable. I use this launch frequently when I take groups out in the bay.

If conditions are right, this is a GREAT paddle, cant ask for better landmarks and veiws, and a good chance for WSB, Hali, Striper rockies and that time we went a few years back someone got a 17 lb Ling @ Hurricane rock. Cute tourists about, just stay out of the shipping lane, they will run you over and swallow you up! The ships not the tourists..

Tides are looking good again Sat/Sun 8/20 & 8/21.  Plus, sounds likes Salmon are being caught in the Bay, so this could be a good spot to intercept them.
