Anyone interested in Monterey Salmon - 4/8 or 4/9 ?

I'd like to get out on either Saturday or Sunday, depending on some whether/weather's:

1) Whether or not the season is still open
2) The weather conditions.

Fishing outside is sounding good, weather permitting. We can see how things go during the opening week, and make more concrete plans by Thursday/Friday.

salmon fishing is on the top of my weekend warrior list until I either catch one or can't go.

I would be fishing out of moss landing if I go. I will hope to follow the experts out. stu, mooch, freddie, bill, etc.

I expect Randy and I will be out one of those days as well.  We'll be watching for the best day.

Well guys-

I'm looking to get out at least one of those days... if not, both. Got my fingers crossed that the weather is good.

Randy and I will prefer Sunday the ninth.......weather permitting.  Out of Moss if that is still the best option.

I'm available either day.  It's been hard to tell when the weather will be good, yesterday (Sunday) was supposed to be wet and windy and it was better than most summer mornings.  I'd like to try Moss, how was the parking last weekend?

Fuzz-

Where the hell are you spending your summer mornings? Yesterday was wet and windy.

Hi, Tom

You just fished at Lover's point and must have a short memory. :smt002 Sunday was wet, much wetter than Sat. Saturday was sunny, calm and clear (see pictures in my post).

Freddie and Eric - I was fishing with Tom at lovers point on Sunday and the conditions were great - no rain and very little wind - the current was strong on the outside but other than that it was primo conditions.

Yep, on Sunday we were listening to these nasty wind reports from the fleet at Moss and wondering if were on the same bay.
When to drive from Moss to Marina early there is often an area where the wind comes from the east, yet it can be calm in Mtry and in SCruz.  But we didn't get a sniff of salmon, so next time I'm going where it's nastiest.

I might be able to go on one of those days. Do guys you think that Linda Mar would be a lost cause? Since it is so close I might give it a try some time this week.

Probably too early for LM, but you never know.  If you try, you should bring crab traps.

Taylor - do you go to Cal Poly - SLO?  Any experience fishing down there?  I have a trip in the summer in the area and was thinking of Avila Beach or Morro Bay.  Appreciate any feedback.  Thanks - Kevin
