I have been out on the bay 6 times for halibut this year and nothing yet. I plan on going fishing Saturday, is there anybody fishing for halibut and striper in the Monterey, Santa Cruz or Capitola area? I have never fished down there and not sure where to go and only the mere basics on how to do it and would realy like some company. Please let me know if you are going out Saturday and would like some company.

Monterey Striper and halibut from boats or yaks has been slow, you might want to try salmon.  They been catching em pretty good at the point.  I have been fishing off the beach for stripers and been doing pretty good.  Pretty much all the beaches will work.  From the Wharf to Santa Cruz.   I will be trying to hit the beach again Saturday Morning.
