Leaky Kayak

Hey all, I bought a Ocean Prowler 13 back in February and found out that one of the scupper holes leaks. I talked to the kayak rep and they offered me either a new kayak or $100 and to repair the hole I can probably get him to $150. How safe is a repair, how long could the repair last and what would you do?

personally peace of mind is worth alot id get the new one.

you do not want to be miles offshore wondering if the fix is OK.  New one all the way

That's not the way I read it. The rep was offering to repair the yak for free PLUS give him $100   or   he can have a new yak. His choice.

I also would have gone with the new yak. Most of the time you'll have to return the old one the the store where you bought it, but you may just get to keep both. It's worth a shot.

But just in case you decide to keep the leaky kayak and take the money,  make sure you get a NEW $100 dollar bill.  There's some fake one floating around you know

and buy a nice shiny bilge pump with it 

They should replace your kayak with a brand new one for free since you haven't had it for that long. IMHO
