Cabrillo (SoCal) 7-1-11

Got OTW on the inside at about 3 pm.  Windy as usual, not a problem for the hobie.  Caught 4 lizard fish and one 16" spotted bay bass that became my tasty dinner tonight .. YUM!  -- Hoping to be in Humboldt County first week of August.

Dave, thanks for the report. Those spotted bay are so pretty looking Hope to fishi with ya again soon, hopefully this time down south Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July weekend, and I'm pretty stoked to see that you've been using the bait tank! 

@dpshim -- the bait tube ROCKS! -- and so do you!    -- I'm getting some surf launch and landing training this coming week and I just bought a farmer john ws.  Still checkin' radios.   See you either down here or up there ... btw I checked out Lovers Point Park as a place to launch.  Looks doable ..  Happy 4th!!  Oh -- and speaking of "rocking" we're playing at Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier this coming Friday night ...  *gratuitous plug*
