Decided last minute to head to the Santa Cruz wharf and wet a line.  Long time buddy Tim attended.  Water was calm (No real surf to be seen) weather was clear but a little on the cold side and becuse I parked on the north side, we were facing the wind.  We landed a sanddab each (Maybe 9-10")and Tim brought up a 6" kingfish.   Anchovy was bait of chioce today. (All released due to truck issue) Had to call it quits early due to my steering failing miserably as I backed into the parking spot we chose. :smt013
The shaft, the pitman arm connects to simply broke off ugly as I was straightning the wheels in the spot.  It was strange as my steering never turned that easy untill then.  Jumped out and found out why, the pitman arm hanging!  "Well, that ain't good!"

Wet our lines, caught some fish, got truck towed to another buddies shop in Scotts Valley.

Scary shit dude! Glad that happened in the parking lot and not on the freeway!

Sounds like the little flat fish are in.  Cant wait until the big boys start showing up in numbers.  Bummer about the truck man.

Yep 2002 Dodge 2500 4x4 diesel front end.   Now that it's fixed, the steering is much more smooth.  I think the box was on it's way out as it felt like I didn't have any (Or very little) ppower assist while stering.  It seemed to be a little resistive?  Not now though!

I'm not going to know what to when Lexington reopens, it'll be too strange!
