Thurs 6-30 Oroville Afterbay or dredger ponds

Wilderneshunter and myself are going up in the afternoon to find some bass and other little fish that hang out in the same areas.  PM me before Thurs for more info.

I hit the afterbay Saturday with the grandson in a PB. Fished the tules and ended up catching 8 in about 3 hours (not bad for having a 2 year old in the boat). Later in the day the fish were a little more lively. Have fun up there and I look forward to a report.

This work crap is getting in the way of my fishing.

Have not finalized yet, but my guess is start fishing around 5 or so.

Drove by the Afterbay today since I was in the area. Water is way low and muddy in my favorite area. No fish cover around. It is all out of the water. They have been dumping water out fast over the last week and it is down 6 ft. It is now headed back up according to the water level reports on line. My suggestion is to fish the ponds for bass and crappie and stay out of the after bay. Talked to a guy at the ponds in a little inflatable pontoon. He regularly catches 4-6 pounders there like I do. his best is 8 there.

The water is 4 ft down since Sat according to the data.
