I'm thinking once i retire, I'll do what I always want to do and open a kayak business and take people out fishing. My Coworker volunteered to be my first (Free) Client!  She has great fish Karma and I've always been amazed with her ability to land a fish even under the worst conditions. So I played charter boat captain for the day.

Long Story Short...woke up and drove to the wharf by 7 a.m. bait was hard to find, but I managed to locate a small pocket of sardines. Pulled 5 and made my way to NB where my Coworker was waiting for me.
I got her situated with all the safety tips and showed her how to use my reel.  Sent down a live sardine and in 15 minutes her sardines gets SLAMMED!! (I wasn't surprised!) :smt003 Tap Tap! zzz Tap and then it bust a huge run, straight for the surf line.  I told her to hold the rod tight and let it take line, once it stop "set the hook".  she managed to set the hook and fight the fish for a little bit then got scared that it was going to come off, so she let me finish the job. It took me another 10 minutes, as it made some hard runs to the bottom.  Finally managed to muscle it up and secure it.  It weighed about 15-18 lbs.

Great day on the coast. Glad I could share the madness with a friend.  L.A.

Wow!  congrats on the beautiful striper!   Looks like a great retirement plan with a lot of promise!   It is sure a thrilling experience to see a friend or your kids catch the fever like us.  I've got to find some time to get out there!!  :smt004

Nice of you to take her out Keith.  Good mojo for you.  Next time we go for the WSB take her with you.  She's a fish attractor.

@ lapulapu, I may need to take her to the ARW Tournament next year! However, there are certain fish that I would rather not attract. That fish tends to hang around Bean Hollow.  :smt010
