It's truly inspiring to see everybody rally in support of our brothers. I'm humbled by the generous spirit that flows from this community. Thanks for that. It's a special feeling; almost surreal, like I'm dreaming. The power of NCKA is sometimes overwhelmingly strong.
Thank you, everybody!

What a great turnout we all had at the PIF last Saturday. Many thanks to the A-Hulls for a job well done and for those who donated stuffs for the raffle. That was
fun just hanging out on the water with everybody while having some adult beverages. :smt002 Congrats to Daniel for winning the grand prize of the day. I
know for a fact that many of his shore buddies will love him for that. :smt003 Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Great event.  I brought the whole family to meet the NCKA family I keep raving about.  The potluck proved me right.  Here's a few shots I took that day:

The whole famn damily

The event's official on the water historian

The ladies rounding the can

The only Hobie I've seen with a gun rack

Big Jim and Al in the raft

A partial on the Lotilla flotilla.  Luckily Tommy (my 14 yr old son) was responsible enough to say 'no thanks' when I automatically handed the bottle of Golden Margaritas to him as the next guy in line ;-).

Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I just knew some sicko like Rich was going to comment on that pic. :smt012  I was on my knees just a few seconds as I was trying to get my balance to get up on the board.  I'm sure glad Shellback caught this following pic ....    :smt003

regarding the food......

I want to congratulate Scott / Greatbass2 for winning the  T.T.D.  " Taco Throw Down". The spice on the meat was truly mouth watering. (Scott would be a good neighbor to mooch from :smt002)

Special mention also goes to....

*Chucke's ceviche....I ate a good portion that chuck was kind enough to put aside from me. It never made it home cause i did want to share it with my sister....but let's keep that between us  :smt002

*Jedmo's poke tuna was also da bom  :smt007 I was tempted to keep that dish to myself but......

*Tracy's sausage was also yummy!

* Fishunters wife gave me a nice serving of her famous tomato salad with the special dressing!

Did not get to try a lot of the other dishes...I can only blame those dam cancer meds that I'm currently taking  :BangHead:

Anyway, many thanks to all that contributed to the pot luck and especially to all that cooked!!!

Joel / Mooch ....also known as the NCKA Unofficial Food Critic.....

*PS. Thank you to Rey Lapu Lapu and Glen G-Whiz (now known as Carbon Fiber) for feeding me some pizza and letting me stay at their hotel on Saturday night. I really needed that jacuzzi  :smt045 I'm glad my speedo pics were not posted  :white
