Peace, y'all
I have the honor of fishing with Hotplate? Hotdiggity! You're like the steinbeck of diving! Looking forward to meeting u on the water.

For bait, gonna try to jig up some bait @ the pier. Otherwise, i use frozen chovies. I'll buy some tonight and can share, but i hear that there's plenty of bait these days.

For rigging, i use the halibut setup u can buy @ any walmart, FW, OPS- but basically a 3 way (lol) with 4 to 6 oz weight on one end and a hook and stinger treble hook on the other. Some people add flashers, lights, etc.  Only caught 1 last year, so i'm no expert. If u do a search, there's advice from seasoned pros.

John - launch at 5AM and make bait in front of the pier. Live bait rules. Bring swim baits for backup. Scott

im loving this early morning launch stuff.  Its time to kill some fish.  Funny story.... as I was coming out of whole foods there were some guys from green peace talking about how much they love the ocean.  I was on the phone and this dude was still trying to talk to me so I told my uncle to hold on for a second,  the green peace dude asked if i had a minute to learn about our beautiful oceans and I replied "  I love the ocean I grocery shop there at least once a week."  He looked at me with a less than thrilled face and I walked away..... Freaking hippies haha

You should be a writer for the Letterman show!

I'm gonna take Scott's advice and make bait early. Hail me on Channel 69. I'll make bait but they may not be alive, as my baittank is small

Peace, y'all
