I picked up my Cobra FND today from Sean at GWKC, thank you Sean.

The first thing I noticed was my feet with shoes on won't fit in the foot wells.  Sean mentioned that he uses foot booties, what type should I buy?

I looked around on the internet and there are so many types.

Initualy I'll be fishing Clear Lake and Mendo.

I don't have furr on my feet to keep them warm so I definitely need the booties.  I just wear a cheap pair of 7mm dive booties.  I do tend to dangle my feet in the water quite a bit.

Gee thanks, you made me spit beer through my nose  :smt005

I'll be wearing waders so I wanted something over my feet walking to and from the lauch, usually a boat launch.

Slides or flats wading booties.

Dennis-Hope you enjoy it.  Cheapo dive bootie or Cheapo aqua-socks will do the job.  If your going to wear them over the foot of your breathable wader it will add a size or two because of the noeprene wader sock.  If you like attention just bring your wader with you into Longs and try them on...when I did it was quite a sensation!

Allen don't make fun of Joel's feet, I heard that before he started Kayaking he had very little hair on his feet. Maybe he kayaks so much he is evolving, you know before clothes people had much more body hair, check out the pictures of "Bigfoot"(no pun intended). If Joel ever has kids maybe they will be born with feet so fuzzy they will never need to buy booties.I don't think this phenomenon is Joel specfic I have seen some other fuzzy feet on this site. :smt005 Word of advice wear booties & gloves.

Get an extra giant pair of cheapo slip on sandals to wear over your waders. You can slip them off and stow them while on your yak, slip them back on real quick when you have to walk.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Hopefully I will have everything in place by this weekend to make my maiden voyage.
