Optional 6" Hatch behind tank well on a OC Prowler Trident 15

Has anyone ever seen or installed a hatch on the aft of a OC Trident 15.  How useful is this space?  Is it just a bad idea to make more holes?  Is there any tips on this install?

I put a screw type deckplate in my T-13 so I could access my drift anchor set-up. The access also helped when I did a Hobie twist and stow rudder install.
