Being a visitor to this forum from Australia and seeing this discussion, I thought that maybe I could help out by donating a set of our KanuLock stainless steel reinforced straps to Ben to hopefully reduce the chance of this happening again.
Here is a short video to help explain.  If Ben can get in contact with me, I will send them from down here.

Sorry if I have broken any forum rules, I just thought I could help. Next post will be about some fishing down in Oz.
Thanks

Clinton

That was vey cool of you Clinton!  :smt023  You rock  :headbang:

That is very generous of you Clinton.  And no, you're not breaking and forum rules.  Your very first post and you're already giving to the community.  That's the way it should be.

FYI, the rules of the road are here ... http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,31523.msg335026.htm

If for some reason you didn't get a PM yesterday, but you are on the list, please send me a PM.  Its harder than I thought to send a ton of PM's and some may not have gotten sent out.  Btw, the Pay Pal address was messed up in some of the messages.  It should be [email protected].  Thanks!

Edit:  Forgot to add, please include your screen name in the PayPal comments, so I know who you are  :smt006

Dude! That KanuLock is a great idea! And even cooler that you're going to hookup Ben. I think the members here will really appreciate your kind gesture--there's easily hundreds of kayak anglers here that just went from "never heard of it" to "I WANT THAT!" haha. Also good for locking up the beach cart while OTW too.

Scott, I don't see a post from you yesterday.  Nor do I see any activity in the moderation log that suggests a post was pulled.

My bad. I had a question for Alain, but put it in a PM instead of a post.

Move along, nothing to see here but mild paranoia....

Stolen Kayak web site I stumbled across again after 2 years having lost it... http://www.marinerkayaks.com/mkhtml/stolendb.htm#Most%20Recent%20Stolen%20Kayaks List yours on it!  :smt003 Might show up in another state. Current postings on this site. Appears to be well maintained and up to date :smt003
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!
