The red can in front of the aquarium was what I first mentioned in the challenge. SPTW is Scupper Pro Tank Well model. Google earth mileage charting says its around 1.62 miles to the can and back. 4 miles an hour is a great sustained speed. Shouldnt be a problem for you then.

I will be there but I will not be paddling. I will be setting up on land for the fun in the afternoon, so someone had better take some good vid of Craig and Baitman getting their anchovie baths!!!  :smt044
I'm still walking, so I'm sure that I can dance...

I'll be there.  Staying in Carmel Friday night.  Can anyone pick me up early so I can make "The Race"?  I'll leave my car with the family and they'll join later after the paddle.

I will be at the launch area by 7am warmed up and ready to race at 8. Then I will join you guys on the beach after my heart transplant. :smt006 I hope there are hot showers close by to rinse the anchovy paste off. :smt009

Craig...

I really think you guys should delay the start of the race until after the paddlers are at the red can and radio back for you two to start....people who have donated will want to see this, and one of the coolest things about last year's paddle was having such a large group on the water at the same time....having us all out there cheering both of you on is going to be AWESOME but will realistically only happen if you start once we are all out at the Can...

My 2 cents at least!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

LOL!!!!

Paddle starts at 10...last year we started earlier but the feedback we got was that for folks coming from out of town it would be better to start a little later this year.

You can take a nap between the paddle and the PotLuck at 1!!

See what my small brain was thinking was, race, then be back at the beach for the real paddle. I planned on doing the whole paddle too.

That makes sense too, but then nobody in the "real" paddle would get to shoot you two with water guns, throw bait at you, film you going around the can, see you guys jump in the water and climb back in the boat and get to cheer you on!!!

Your race has blossomed into a super special event that I know a lot of us are real excited about and really looking forward to watching as a group....

Your call bro...I'll support you with whatever you decide!!
