Hey NCKA members,
New to the board, I just moved up from San luis Obispo and kayak fished the Central Coast many times.  Looking to head out thursday morning somewhere nearby (i live in Sebastopol)  Looking to target rockfish, lingcod or halibut, is anyone else planning to head out that morning or can recommend a launch location?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance,
Ryan

South of Point Arena is closed to RF & Ling until the 13th. North of PA is open. There has been some halibut action in the SF bay. WTTM! = welcome to the madness of NCKA

Weird... I grew up in Sebastopol. I moved to SLO for school, and took up kayak fishing. Now I live in Albany (by Berkeley). Did you go to Cal Poly? Or high school at Analy? Maybe I know you...

Like they said, no rockfishing around Sonoma County yet, but soon...

Went to Cal Poly, my girlfriend is from sebastopol, last name Paladini sound familiar?  I'm Ryan Taylor, if any of that sounds familiar its a small world my friend.  When rockfish season opens, where are some of the best launch spots around here?

Hmm... Doesn't sound familiar... Oh well.  What'd you study at Poly?

I haven't done much rockfishing on the north coast just yet, but did LOTS down on the central coast. Port san Luis, Avila, cayucos, MDO, big sur, all that good stuff.

Welcome.  I have learned so much by reading the info given up by fellow members.  All good stuff.

Your side of the ocean is closed to rockfish until June 13th.

The lakes are filled with eager bass now.

Good luck.
