Eric, I have a manzanita  and oak forest in my back yard, is that what your looking for?
[/quote]

manzanita is super cool. I love the color. If ya got some I'd be forever in debt. Looking for straight'ish sticks 18-24" about an 1-1.5 inch in diamater...Making gaff's so you have an idea of the finished product. Oak works as well...just less cool looking (IMHO)

From prior thread:

A friend of mine Mr. Dick Debenedictis owns a Hobby shop here in Fresno so I mentioned the P.I.F. paddle cumming up and he says no problem, turns around and hands me a HO Scale train set.
http://www.athearn.com/Default.aspx
Now I know the first thing that comes to mind is how does this relate to fishing. Well it was a kind gesture and he said he will try to see what else he could do.
So we talk a little longer and he says he might have time to do some art on a paddle or something to donate (he pinstripes as a side business). Now here is where it gets intresting. If you have seen my "Yakhopper" paddle you know he does good work but if you are a bike enthusiast you may have seen his work on the this bike on the cover of this book
http://shop.arlenness.com/p-3586-the-king-of-choppers-book.aspx
Now he is in high demand and his time is limited so this will all depend on what comes up between now and than.
Anyways just wanted to let you all know what I have secured for the raffle thus far.

See Ya Soon,
Eric / Yakhopper

Also from prior thread,

Eric, anything anyone can donate is just AWESOME!!!  I love hearing that even people outside of the kayaking community are willing to help.  And thank you for taking the time to help garner more prizes for the PIFP!!!  Sara has been putting up fliers at local businesses in our area and is also receiving a great response!  I really hope we can get a lot of new people to join in the festivities, and maybe turn some of them on to 'The Madness'

This is getting off to a great start!    Really, really proud of all of you that are helping to make this event happen!  We cant thank you guys enough!  It's going to be a really fun day, so I hope all of you can make it down there to the event!!!

Just received another donation for the raffle:

More to come.

And :

Had one of these laying around with the tags still attached
http://compare.ebay.com/like/280525376823?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y
So I will also have to donate that to help the cause
Hope someone can use it.
More to come.
