Well here we go again boys and girls! With the success of last year’s event, The Red Barn Classic 2011 will commence on Saturday October 1, 2011.
Last year we had over 40 participants, NCKA members and many more, show up to test their perseverance on the rugged North Coast waters.
                                                                                         
With the kindness of Alan (property caretaker) we will have another chance to see who will be the lucky kayak angler of this day. Last year’s tourney was set up to introduce
my fellow kayak anglers to the beauty of the Sonoma Coast and the special property that we are privileged to enjoy. With the positive response from last year’s event, I have no doubt that The Red Barn Classic 2011 will be bigger and better! Once again, I would like to thank each and everyone who showed up last year to make this a very enjoyable and significant event on the NCKA calendar.

I am proud to announce that Ocean Kayak, with support from Mike Mowrey has decided to sponsor the event. They are donating an Ocean Kayak Trident 13 angler for the grand prize!

Prize list will be as follows:
1st place Ocean Kayak Trident 13 angler
2nd place $100 gift card for Sports Authority
3rd place TBD

Also $20 from all the registration fees will be split 50%, 30%, and 20% and added to the top three anglers of the day!

 My brother Eddie Flores will once again be doing the graphics for hats!

There will be camping sites available, Call me if you have a trailer (only a few spots available for trailers)

Joe, thanks for the early heads up.  Begged, bribed and threatened to retire ..... and got the weekend off!!  Count Me In.

Sounds like another great time Joe! I wouldn't miss it. Let's hope the weather is as good as it was last year!

I am going trying and do this one looks like a blast.  Only problem is it conflicts with my favorite and one of the worlds best music festivals, Hardly Strickly Bluegrass festival at Golden Gate park.  If the wind isnt blowing and Im not chasing albacore then it might trump the music.

Yup, I missed it last year too, but the good times at the Barn was well worth it.
