Should I bring my wetsuit and pfd ?

Definitely yes on the PFD.  Wetsuit is recommendable, drysuit is best if you got it.

Hi Yakers:

Fresh water and TP is hard to find at "The Wall" :smt005
The "Honey Hole" is a nightmare unless the City has cleanup around

Initial problems I see with the Raptor:

Line issues with the split tail
Reentry after wet exit
Swamping
Surf launch/landing
There are a few youtube videos showing a raptor launched in to small surf.  The boat takes on water.
Let me add:

Flipping it back when it turn over, its too wide!
Preventing it from Crushing you one the Surf (again too wide)

Thnx guys can't wait to meet you all.

Any location that sells Kayaks will sell PFD's. Make sure to try them on. Kayak PFD's are different then watersport PFD's.

I got my first quality PFD at REI, but any paddle shop should have a nice selection.  I suggest trying as many on as you can.  I like to have at least two pockets, but not too many as your pfd will get bulky and will make for a tougher re-entry.

I won my current PFD at Yakhopper's striper tourney last year :smt001.

For sure Toona, It was good to meet you. Lets get together and paddle soon. I would be stoked to work with you on reentry and paddle strokes. We have that weekly paddle at Lodi Lake and I would be happy to bring out a few kayaks for you to try. Sorry I wasn't able to talk more, it seemed like everyone decided to come by at the same time.
Welcome to the Madness!
