Does anyone actually make the the wave there?  Or is it just a mecca for masochists?  If you don't get worked enough out on the peak, I guess you have to pay someone to slap you around in the parking lot  :smt003

I live in the Eastbay now but my titanium rodded shins are 15 years old this year. I remember The Wedge everyday. It's kinda cool to see it again. Thanks for posting this video.

The Wedge, my old stomping grounds.  Alot of fun and gnarly wipeouts there.  I grew up surfing Newport, Balboa, and Huntington.  Those places are about the only thing I miss about living down south.

It's a launch pad. To ride it sanely, your plan has to be to fly out when left and right meet. Riding it out is masochistic. I personaly earned my metal shins going over the falls.
