Yakhopper and everyone, I just got of the phone with the Parks and Rec guy and the word is that the restrooms are OPEN and available for Sunday.  Their general condition may not be that great, but they are OPEN :smt007 :smt007 :smt007.

Hi

I'm  writing to make a small request.     A larger than expected group of us will be decending on Alameda on Sunday the 12 th of this month for a Kayak fishing tournament.      We plan on launching from your west side  ramp, over near Ballena Bay.  I was there this past Sunday testing the waters.  I  tried to use the bathroom there.    It was unfortunately not in serviceable condition.  The toilet was plugged up,  trash cans were overflowing...   All in all , pretty sad condition for such a wonderful area.

We will be bringing our families and friends.  Many travelling are planning  overnight accomodations.   This event will bring in revenue  to your local economy.     I'd like it to go well enough that next year our members will want to return.   So my request is this;  could someone direct your staff to spend a little  effort to ensure there will be toilet facilities ...  I hope it's not  a big inconvience.  We are a "green " group of Kayak fishermen.   You'll find we'll leave the place in cleaner condition than when we arrived.  Leaving us empty trash cans will help us in that endeavor.

Baitman, I'd say dont rock the boat too much (even if it's a Raptor). Martin is a local and seems like he's got it sorted.

If not too much trouble, please add another participant. I'd like to bring a friend (for a total of gelbyak +1) to check out the experience. Thanks!

Wow!! It's fantastic to see that many of our brothers and sisters will be attending this event :smt007 :smt007

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this :( I have to go down south that day for my business trip and won't be back for a couple days. I wish everyone a wonderful time out there!!
