I have an oppourtunity to buy a Ocean Kayak Scupper Classic for about 300 bucks.

Should I take this oppourtunity?

Is it a good deal?

Thanks,

If it's in decent shape, I'd consider that a good deal.

Keep in mind ideally a kayak should fit your body type, like a bicycle.  If you're a big guy a Scupper Classic might turn out to be such a good deal.... for you.

Dual hatch or Tank Well model. If its a dual and you dont want it, I know someone who does. 300 bucks is good if the hull is in somewhat decent shape. Narrow ride 24 inches Fast as hell. Probably the fastest sit on top around

I have bought a few of these and the hatches usually need repair because they leak quite often.  Probably not the best deal out there if you have more time to look.  Keep asking if you find something else or maybe post some picks for it.  I've never paid over two hundred for this boat used.

It really depends on the age and wear, and what goodies come with it. If they throw in stuff as a package deal...maybe.

I recently paddled a scupper classic dual hatch model and it worked great for me @ 5,9" 200#. I found it plenty stable and pretty quick. The folks I was with were in Scrambler XT's and I paddled circles around them in the scupper.

The Scupper Pro is a little narrower and didn't work nearly as well for me.
