I know we are all focused intensely on GS5; but what's the plan for the Yakhopper Series ARW event? It's just a month away...

Eric will post up details when the time draws near.  In the past, it has usually been a day event and not many people camp, and therefore not the big get-up that Clear Lake got.

Didn't want to take any hype from the events happening this month
I'll post the Roll-Call some time after GS-5 (and all the reports are in)
As for Alameda;
Most people just hang for the day - some get rooms locally - haven't seen anyone camp in that area.
This is usually the biggest event of the series as far as participants - Don't miss out!!!

See Ya Soon,

I'm in, too.

Never fished ARW, or one of Eric's events...so I'm stoked on both counts.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Good question Sharky.  :smt002
Last year an electric motor powered kayak was allowed to compete.....knocking me out of third place in the process.  :smt010
If electric motors and sails are to be allowed I would like to know in advance so I will have time to pick up my motor & sail.  :smt004

The only electric yak at ARW I know about was owned by a 74 year old man who did not place.

As for the original question:
If by sailboat you mean Kayak with a sail - That would be YES it is allowed.
If you mean a real Sailboat than the answer is no - Sorry but this is a Kayak fishing series.
All forms of Kayaks are allowed even the bicycle type :smt003

I will have the official Roll-Call up this weekend.

See Ya There,
Eric / Yakhopper

I was going to just participate in the grub/drinks afterward and not officially enter, but it's on now.  My GF and I are ready to roll.
