Hey Guys,
Here is the back ground on the kayak. A gal came into my store saying she had a used kayak and some gear she wanted to sell. Her husband (who was only in his 50's) had just passed away in December and she is trying to find a good home for all his outdoors stuff. He had a sudden heart attack while skiing and died on the slopes. She said her husband Ken A. was a long time member of NCKA, but she wasn't sure if he fished with the group much. I asked if she knew his online handle and she didn't. Anyways she is selling his Ocean Kayak Prowler 15, an Astral PFD, Wheeleez Beach cart, milk crate, 2 anchors, scotty rod holder and extender, paddle, and a few other odds and ends. She is very adamant that it goes to a good home, so before I posted on craigslist I thought I would let you guys know so you could spread the word. She is asking $1000 for everything OBO. I have all the stuff at my store, because she did not feel comfortable with people coming by her house, so please let me know if you would like to check it out and we can arrange a time. Let me end by saying that despite all that this lady has been through she seemed very upbeat and positive. She got a new rack for her car and says she is looking forward to joining the Lodi Paddle Club on future outings. That makes my heart happy, I hope to see a more of her.

Nice work and deed Paddleboy84. I wonder if anyone knows who he was online. I already have a P15 (and Nigel Dennis Romany, a Trident 15, a Cobra Marauder, and  Necky Dolphin—too many boats as it is according to the wife but I think i am just getting started). The P15 is a great fishing boat though it rides wet—but kayaking is a water sport so it should be wet. If anyone is interested, the P15 is a better handling boat than the Trident 15 if you were a kayaker first, fisher later you'll know the difference.

RIP Ken. Same here, I have too many boats as it is. Hopefully someone will make sure it is in the water where it belongs. Only good fishing Karma there.

I agree that would be cool. I will get his full last name when I get to work in the Am.

I'm pleased to announce that a younger guy from Sac came down and bought this kayak for fishing kelp beds in Aptos and Mendocino! Its his first fishing kayak and he is stoked! He also picked up a little Cobra for his son to join in on the fun. Glad to see Ken's kayak lives on.  :smt001

Way to go Paddleboy.

Were you able to turn him onto NCKA?
