Carmel 5/1 or Puke vid!

^^ why doesnt it post the vid?

anyways me and geoff hit up the southern carmel bay area thinking we would find our lingzilla , we found some nice viz and some wishy washy waves , kinda weird cuz we both have been in worser conditions and still didnt get sick but for some reason we both were feeling it , geoff started off with a legal ling and then he puked , i was already feeling queezy so seeing that just ruined me ,  i was gonna head for the beach but found salvation by sticking and keeping my head under water , we both toughed it out and i ended up finding a smalish but legal ling while geoff was up to his old tricks by getting his ling , a cab and a few other respectable rockfish. we even went for a double dipp and did fine that go round but it was real surgy and didnt find much fish in the holes we were working pretty hard at this point , we thought maybe they went deeper with the surgy conditions...?? who knows...

had every intention of making it to stillwater but it was pretty late and we wernt sure if it would be worth it , we ended up BBQing our meat on some random street in marina near the hotel.
a tough but great day !

hahaha that vid is awesome.  Im glad im not the only one that got sick on that day.  I paddled out with jim and boogie board steve and after an hour or so I felt pretty queezy and got sick on the way back him.  thanks for joining me in the chum party fellas.

i think we ate too much shit before getting in...donuts , banana & a powerbar might of set me off.. i kinda overheated while putting my suit on so i think that contributed to it. i really think i need a 5 mill suit.

Oh well, its a humbling experience barfing 20 times in one dive. Reminds me of when we first started, I couldnt keep my guts in for the life of me. But at least I still keep at it - barf then spear - barf then spear!

Nothing like burning 10 gagillion calories diving and barfing the rest - thank god for our side of the road bbq and 20lbs of carne asada we ate! Thanks Andy again for bringing the food!
